We know you would do anything for your family. Including your dog. We don't take that lightly. You deserve the best. In order to give your family extraordinary Goldens we require all of the dogs in our program to be health cleared and fully tested.

Each one of our Golden Retrievers will receive the following testing:

• Embark (Genetic abnormalities, potential risks and Bloodlines)

• OFA (Hip, cardiac, elbow, eye, dentition, Patella)

• PennHip (hip)

We are constantly learning and growing in this industry. New tests and technology is made available all the time and we work hard to stay up to date and make sure our dogs get the proper and best testing. While this is costly, we know the investment in our dogs is well worth it!

We encourage those interested in our puppies to become familiar with these tests. We love to answer any questions we can! Please ask! We are one of only a handful of breeders that does such extensive testing. We know that bettering the breed means taking on the responsibility of producing only the best. Testing is crucial but very often skipped because of inconvenience and cost. We believe every breeder should be required to test their dogs but that simply is not the reality. 

 

We promise to do better. We are confident in the health of our dogs and have all of the documentation to back it up. You can feel confident in choosing Brinton Goldens.    

 

 In the case one of our Goldens does not pass any one of these test, we will remove them from the breeding program and keep and continue to love them as part of our family.
