Our Story

Hey There! ​We are The Brintons!

Our crew is lead by Robert & Kelsey with our 3 sons; Jeter, Rocky, and Brooks always close by.

As a family, working together, we started Brinton Goldens. ​

Since I can remember, I have always had a passion and love for animals.

Much to my mothers dismay as a child I picked up a few stray kittens

and begged for a puppy well into my teen years.

We had a family dog, Abby, who was a Golden Retriever Lab mix

that I was obsessed with. She was the very best.

After giving our family the best 16 years my heart was broken when she left us.

I believe every family needs an Abby.​

Right after we got married, Robert & I got a boxer puppy. We named him Brutus.

He was my baby. He was by my side through 3 pregnancies with bedrest,

and some really hard surgeries and recoveries.

Once you can overlook the drool, snoring, and stinking toots

he was the most endearing dog and you couldn't help but love him.

​However, despite his near perfect personality, Brutus was bred by irresponsible backyard breeders. 

I was naive enough to think that because he was purebred that meant he was responsibly bred.

I was very wrong and Brutus has severe Hip and elbow dysplasia. He struggled a lot of the time.

It could have all been prevented by responsible breeding and correct testing. ​

Which brings us to Brinton Goldens.

With my love of my childhood golden Abby, and wanting to advocate for Brutus

we decided to breed dogs, the right way. So families can have a healthy beautiful dog they enjoy for years to come. ​We are dedicated to proper and thorough testing, training, and care to produce

only the best Golden Retrievers and better the breed.
